I wish more companies would do that instead of firing up the legal outrage machine. As to cynicism... I wouldn't think any marketing department to be that clever, honestly.

Re: Video: the Tiger Woods “Jesus” shot

I think Jesus would've used the force. That the 'Levinator25' video was manufactured, and the subsequent ad created as a response to it. That said, Levinator25 has been on YouTube for over a year, apparently. Mind you, EA could probably convince YouTube to manufacture an 'old' user account with enough cash.

Re: Video: the Tiger Woods “Jesus” shot

Nice catch, Glen :-)

Re: Video: the Tiger Woods “Jesus” shot

It's a shame he got a two-stroke penalty (he grounded his club in the hazard).

Re: Video: the Tiger Woods “Jesus” shot

A respected consultant on business brand and image asked me the other day what I thought the right strategy was for companies on YouTube. This video is Exhibit A. Respond to the conversation, keep it real and raw, and don't take yourself too seriously. One of the best uses of YouTube marketing I've seen. Of course, it doesn't hurt to hire Tiger Woods to make your viral video. Now if only Smith and Wesson would make an ad starring Leeroy Jenkins, then we'd have an innovative web video ad campaign.

Re: Video: the Tiger Woods “Jesus” shot

Hehe that is pretty awesome.
