  • That's awesome Mathew! Thanks for sharing. Hey - anybody from the Globe coming out to the University of Waterloo's Mechatronics Symposium? Fourth year students working on stuff, some pretty unique things, you may or may not dig it. I can get you details is you want. It's a bunch of Engineers working on small/strange/unique ideas, and we present prototypes...I'm a fourth year, I'll be presenting. Don't know if it's high enough profile stuff to peak your fancy.
  • Not sure if I can make it, but sounds interesting. Send me some
details at mingram@globeandmail.com and I'll see what I can do. I
remember friends of mine starting Robot Wars at U of W back in the day
-- one of whom was Mark Tilden, inventor of the Robosapien.

  • Wow. Four legs good, two legs bad?
  • Clever sure, but some dog ! I thought it was an enlarged walking bumble bee & the motor buzz fits with this.
  • I just noticed this video now has over 1.2M views on YouTube - in just two days!

While looking around for more BigDog stuff I came across a handy little site that seems to collect all of the videos of BigDog and its creepy cousins: http://bigdogrobotvideos.com
  • Thanks, Colin.
