He has adjusted his idiocy somewhat but still stupid is as stupid does. I recall fondly one experience I had seeing Thelonious Monster. The lead singer went on kind of a comic musical diatribe about U2 and how they still haven't found what they're looking for after all those millions back then.

Re: U2’s McGuinness: Still a moron

I'm about as thrilled about the idea of paying for the right to download what I want as I am about the idea of taxing ISPs. Here's a hint: I already pay to download what I want. It's what I pay my ISP for internet service.

Re: U2’s McGuinness: Still a moron

Here's the Wikipedia link for those of us who forgot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negativland#The_U2...

"Negativland's next project was the infamous U2 EP, with samples from American Top 40 host Casey Kasem. In 1991, Negativland released a single with the title "U2" displayed in very large type on the front of the packaging, and "Negativland" in a smaller typeface. An image of the Lockheed U-2 spy plane was also on the single cover."

Re: U2’s McGuinness: Still a moron

That's a good point, Liza -- I had totally forgotten about the whole
Negativland fiasco.

Re: U2’s McGuinness: Still a moron

But he's right, it is all the ISPs' fault. I mean, if they wouldn't provide people with a high-speed connection, people wouldn't be able to download music. Maybe the way to save the music industry is force everyone back to dial-up..or something like that. :)

Re: U2’s McGuinness: Still a moron

McGuinness' moronic ways go waaaaaaay back. Do youremember Negativland? Bono and The Edge say they didn't know of the lawsuits but that had McGuiness' sausagey little paws all over it.
