You are wildly good at blog post titles. I wanna read every post due to their titles. Damn, I don't have time, with my geek neck pain, to do this. You monster, you!

:^)

Re: The blogosphere is not a thing

P.S. "blogosphere" is a thing, a totality, an entity...for discussion purposes. Like "youth culture", "hip hop lifestyle", "punk rock", "democracy", "free nations", "the elderly", "illegal aliens", "Western Civilzation", "Christendom", etc.

Re: The blogosphere is not a thing

UPDATE: Stephen Baker posted a comment at my blog, saying that he sees my point. Then I said I'm not sure what my point is. I mean, sure we've seen mediums polluted and devalued, like FM radio, TV, even the telephone (think: telemarketers). "500 channels and nothing worth watching" syndrome.

Media do become *as a whole* degraded and devalued. They may not go away, but they become perceived as stupid, boring, unprofessional, etc. For example, no business people use CB radio to communicate. Maybe not the best example, but you know what I mean.

I just don't know what our marching orders are. Stephen Baker predicts, in his comment on my blog, that soon the serious bloggers will not call themselves "bloggers".
