  • I think the inevitable conclusion is that the protagonists behind CRIA are not distinguishable from zeros. But of course I'm not a statistician, so I could be wrong.

  • Back in the day (~ 2000) when Napster a going concern I downloaded hundreds of songs and never bought a CD.

    I think subscription based services are the best these days, like Zune Pass. Then you can try before you buy. I have bought a few CD's since being exposed to them on the Zune marketplace I would not have purchased otherwise.
  • Studies like this are meaningless. Even if they are recealing the truth (which I believe they are) the music distribution corporations will still spread FUD about downloading because they want to have legislatively legalized control over the distribution channels.
