  • The answer is obvious here. It really doesn't matter how good the DRM is that Real adds. They never had a right to have their hands on the media to begin with. The key here is that the copyright owner has rights. If Real had wanted to do a service like this, it could have sought to work with the studios. Instead it did the classic tech approach of "infringe now, litigate (and hopefully settle) later."
