I agree that News Corp is smart to try this out - they do have 100 million reasons why it could work - but I having a feeling that after some hoopla immediately following the launch, it'll fade back.

It's also interesting that you don't have to be signed in to vote apparently (at least you didnt when i first tried this morning). I think this could be a very smart move at first, but reeks of a perfect opportunity for spam if they ever open it up to submissions obviously.
