I had drinks with Mike and a few other people at Mesh and was surprised at how his "real life" persona didn't (forgive the pun) mesh with his onstage or blogging persona. You're right -- he was thoughtful, intelligent and polite. Not what I expected.

No - having a tempter is definitely not a characteristic of most bloggers I have ever met. Passionate and opinionated - sure. But whatever Arrington's characteristics are, they sure haven't held him back.

p.s. I can only wonder who that wag on Twitter was who would dare say such a thing... :)
