Also, another report pointed out the fact that Bit Torrent is the leading P2P protocol when talking about nighttime P2P traffic. This can either mean that this client is more popular or that it is used to download more and/or larger sized files. The truth of the mater is that media price is still too high for the regular user and the capacity of storage we see in media players is continuously rising.
--------------------------------------------------
johnyymathew
<a href="http://www.drivenwide.com"rel="do follow" rel="nofollow">advisory

Re: LimeWire media deal: It’s no joke

I know what you mean, Eric -- that certainly goes for me and many of my friends. At the same time, however, my teenaged daughters still use LimeWire a lot.

Re: LimeWire media deal: It’s no joke

I don't know anyone who still uses LimeWire. Maybe they went underground, and certainly people are hitting up the torrent sites, but my sense is that many are kind of "done" with illegal downloads and P2P in general. Totally anecdotal evidence to be sure, and perhaps the wacky in the US could have effect on buying versus taking the additional effort to get free stuff via other means.
