    Honestly, I don't think the creation of a blogging council is going to make much difference at all. There will be lots of talk but little walk. For some companies, it makes sense to blog but many others are reluctant to make the leap because of concerns over competition, disclosure rules, etc.

    An argument could be made that publicly-traded companies do have some issues that privately-held ones don't have to worry about, but other than that, I think you're on the right track.
