I also read Fred's post today as a kind of "there goes my neighborhood" rather than a legit critique of what techmeme has become - which is to me an increasingly rich place to find good stories. I'm kind of tired of the old blog guard anyway - I think a lot of them have run out of stuff to say.

Re: Help me push this post up Techmeme

Why not our posts too ?

Re: Help me push this post up Techmeme

Yes, I saw that. Couldn't agree more.

Oh, and I think we managed to push the post up on Techmeme - almost too easy :)

Re: Help me push this post up Techmeme

Thanks, dude.

Re: Help me push this post up Techmeme

Thanks for the shout out Mathew. Definitely agree with your opinion here - it seems like every week now one of the biggest stories on TechMeme is about TechMeme and how is being gamed or something along those lines - it's still by far and away the best reference for tech news at any given time (when you don't have time to go through your 10,000 feeds), far ahead of Digg and the like in terms of fresh stories. As you say, if you feel like someone is simply trying to game the system, "don't click on them".

-MG

Re: Help me push this post up Techmeme

Perfect.
