now, this is an interesting idea. i like how you engage the people who comment on your posts. it can make an even interesting conversation.

I agree Mark -- it does make it more interesting. I often find the comments at other websites as useful or more useful than the item they're responding to -- I wish I could say the same for the comments I get on my columns at the Globe :-)
