In defence of newspapers and serendipity
I agree with you 100% about I.E. 7. You are absolutely right. I get excited thinking about all the people who will subscribe to my feeds when they have a familiar tool to do it with. I really can't wait.
My audience is as mainstream corporate as you can get -- and right now 60% subscribe to my blog via email alerts rather than RSS. Partly this is because they are not allowed RSS readers at work, but a bigger reason is that setting up a web-based account with Blogline or Pluck one of the many other options is just too much of a bind.
Microsoft will eventually own RSS because of this.
