On my blog I am pretty hard on AT&T but in fairness, if not humans, at least algorithms at Google alerady parse Gmail and have customized ads pop up based on the contents...

and we are naive if we think major intelligence agencies around the world do not sniff data traffic...

I wish someone would talk about ATT's motivations. Corporations don't act out of principle.

Where is the money coming from? Does ATT plan to buy a movie studio or a they being paid by them? Or is it personal? With ATT execs planning to be CEO/CFO/.. or a studio.

Just wondering whether we in Canada can do anything to make sure that traffic without an endpoint in the US doesn't have to pass through it :)
